About Amanda Sterba

My name is Amanda Sterba and am just 21 years old. I am a native to Pennsylvania, born and raised outside of the Pocono's in a little coal region I still refer to as home. I have always had pets and always wanted more. I've been around cats longer than any other animal but I love them all the same. I have cared for dogs, cats, ferrets and birds.

After graduation of college, I moved to Herndon, VA with my best friend. Not too long after that I had moved to Woodbridge, VA. I now live in Dale City, VA in a great single-family home with my dogs Desi and Barney, both whom I rescued. They are both pitbulls (mixes) and I am a firm pit lover. In fact, I love all bully breeds.

I am a graduate of Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography. I graduated with an Associate Degree of Specialized Technology majoring in Graphic Design. I've come to find out that pet care is what I would love to do for the rest of my life if possible. I am an animal lover and will care for any animal with the proper instruction. I have dedicated my career, so young, to pet care and would love to show you and your pet I am the one for you. I have never had a problem with animals getting to know me.

I volunteer with All 4 the Animals Rescue based here in Woodbridge. I have been a foster for many months, and actually whom I adopted Barney from, to help him deal with his troubled past. Day to day I see and hear of stories of homeless animals and their histories. Some arrive great, but some arrive with issues. We care for them all the same. In my career, I am trying to prevent the homeless animal population from increasing. I see having a mid-day dog walker a benefit when there is simply no time or too many work hours, thus the reason for abandonment. I am here to change and help what I can. Working with humans to help the animals; it's my duty.

Since I have began my pet sitting and dog walking, I have come to realize I have the most rewarding career I could ever have. I have gained respect through my clients and have became well acquainted with some great dogs, cats and birds! I'm hoping with the arrival of my new website that some of my clients will post some testimonials to show you how close I am with them. I am an important part of these people's lives and knowing them and their pets just allows me to enjoy my day.
